The Camelback Sofa is a timeless design that dates back to the 1800s in England. First designs of the Camelback were made popular by furniture designers Thomas Chippendale and George Hepplewhite. The Camelback Sofa was well loved for its duality of being both a formal seat for hosting company and a comfortable sofa to recline on. Though, originally on timber bases the Camelback sofa was much less comfortable than our updated and relaxed Chelsea design with a spring base.
